If you have never heard about Lamon Brewster then you have never been interested in boxing for real.

Lamon Brewster is the only boxer who was able to get an upset knockout victory over famous Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko in 2004. That victory was a defining moment for Lamon. It made him famous and brought a desirable WBO heavyweight title at the same time.

So, if you’re a fan of boxing sport or want to fit in the boxing community, you have to know at least something about most prominent sportsmen of the industry. Lamon Brewster is one of them.

Defining Moments in the Career

Nowadays, Lamon Brewster is no more a professional boxer. He works on «Fighting Connection» which contains everything a boxer may need to become a famous. In some way, Brewster has become a businessman with a profound background and knowledge. But how did his sports career start?

Lamon Brewster is from the Midwestern region of the USA – Indianapolis, Indiana. He started his high-level boxing career as an amateur in distant 1995. That year he officially became US Heavyweight Champion and the number 2 boxer at Pan Am Games (important sporting competition in the USA) at the same time.

After these victories, Brewster started a professional career as a boxer. The beginning was very victorious as he was basically undefeated for the next several years. Then started a row of losses in the fights against Etienne and Shufford. But the losses didn’t make Brester leave boxing.

The victory in the fight against Klitschko and a desirable heavyweight champion title brought a new wave of success in Brewster’s career. For more than ten years, Lamon Brewster remained the last boxer who got the victory in the fight against Klitschko in the ring.

In 2007 was one more fight against Klitschko in Germany. This time the fight wasn’t so good for Brewster. After 6 rounds the judge stopped the game. IBF and IBO heavyweight titles were won by Klitschko.

In 2008 and 2009 were two more fights with Danny Batchelder and Michael Sprott. Both times the victory was gained by Brewster.

The last two fights in Brewster’s career were held in 2009 and 2010 against Gbenga Oloukun and Robert Helenius. In both these fights Lamon Brewster was defeated by the opponents.

A year later the boxer officially announced about going out of a professional boxing career. During his entire career, Brewster got 35 wins (30 by knockout and 5 by decision) and 6 losses (2 by knockout and 4 by decision).
